About Rekhatan Ganesh Murti

Rekhatan Ganesh Murti_BG.jpg

In 2009, in Kalyan city, a group of young artists executed a brand new, disruptive, eco-friendly and larger-than-life Ganesh festival decoration idea for Kalyan City's own Raja, the Subhdarwada Ganesh Festival using 95% Eco-friendly materials. The decoration won numerous state-level awards. The group was called 'Rekhatan' which means a sketch in the Marathi language. The legacy continued and one of the founder members of the 'Rekhatan' group, Preetam Gogate continued his journey of creating eco-friendly Ganesha idols wherever he ventured in life. He sculpted idols in the Kalyan city, then for a few years in Dubai and now he has moved to our very own Toronto city.

Rekhatan Ganesh Murti, Toronto is walking on the path paved by this origin story, embracing the seed idea of creating eco-friendly idols and the richness of the Indian cultural roots. Our Ganesha idols are 100% Eco friendly, handmade and produced locally in Toronto as well as in India in our very own traditional Ganesh murti workshops.

We strive to provide quality Ganesh idols with a variety of designs and sizes. We also provide handmade eco friendly decorations and Ganesh Puja Matarial kits.
